
Call for 2008 Presentations: We Need Your Best Ideas Now
23rd Annual Alzheimer’s Regional Conference April 4, 2008 Washington State Convention Center The Alzheimer's Association Regional Conference is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary forum dedicated to the care of people with dementia and their families. This conference showcases the latest and most innovative evidence-based practices and programs designed for both beginning and advanced practitioners as well as family caregivers. We are expecting over 500 attendees and are accepting submissions in the following: - Assessment tools
- Successful activity programs
- Creative person-centered approaches
- Early-stage or early onset concerns
- Family caregiver concerns
- Innovative practices and models in care, caregiver support, policy and technology
- Late-stage or palliative care
- Quality care initiatives
- Staff building, recruitment or retention
Submission Deadline: August 31, 2007 Notification Date: October 15, 2007 Submissions will be accepted via email to patricia.hunter@alz.org or by fax at 206.363.5700. Submissions must be no longer than one page including a brief description, list of objectives, list of interactive activities planned and list of evidence-based references. Presentations are an hour and fifteen minutes in length, including time for questions. All submissions are reviewed and chosen by the Alzheimer's Association Conference Planning Council. Who Attends? A wide range of long-term care and health care professionals, direct care staff, providers, administrators, legal professionals, case managers, public policy officials, family caregivers, and persons with memory loss.
