Honoring Those Who Give Their Time and Heart to Our Mission
One hundred and fifty energized volunteers streamed into Safeco Field on June 5 to watch the Mariners trounce the Baltimore Orioles. The evening enabled the Chapter to reward our volunteers for their time and support of the mission. Volunteers started the Alzheimer's Association Western and Central WA State Chapter 29 years ago. They are the reason we are here helping families through their journey with Alzheimer’s. Today, their dedication and support continues to make what we do at the Chapter possible. Even though the evening was on the cool side, volunteers donned festive t-shirts and fortified themselves with refreshments as they cheered on the home team. They especially enjoyed meeting and visiting with their peers from other locations in our service area. Our volunteers exemplify compassion for others. They are generous with their time, and their tireless efforts are an inspiration to everyone. In the Chapter’s eye, every one of them is a “home run!”
