Alzheimer's Association Regional Conference--Register Today!

Education Conference Poster

Join us for our 23rd Annual Education Conference taking place on April 4th at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center.

Naomi Feil, A.C.S.W. will deliver the Opening Keynote entitled “Insights into Aging,” highlighting details of her Validation method. Validation is an evidence-based method for both professionals and family caregivers that helps reduce anxiety while enhancing dignity. Validation accepts that people with Alzheimer’s often return to the past and communicate through hindsight. A restoration of the past enables good times to be revived and past struggles to be resolved.

This year’s conference has been expanded to include additional learning tracks designed for dementia care leaders, hands-on staff, activity professionals, advanced practitioners, family caregivers, and a general audience track for all participants. Our conference workshops are evidence-based, innovative, and focus on increasing practical skills. Planned workshops include:

  • financial exploitation through undue influence
  • activity programming for all stages
  • aring for the caregiver
  • research and new developments in Alzheimer’s
  • the future of long-term care

…and much more. The agenda is designed to meet the needs of everyone who has a connection to Alzheimer’s disease.
