Annual Advocacy Day a Huge Success

Voice Banner
On February 8th Alzheimer’s advocates from across the state convened in Olympia for the Association’s Annual Advocacy Day. This very successful event provided participants the opportunity to come together and garner support for our legislative priorities.

The day’s activities included a private visit with Governor Gregoire’s Health Policy Advisor and Representative Al O’Brien, pre-scheduled legislative appointments, attendance at a Senate Ways & Means hearing, and the dissemination of materials to every senator and representative.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of our advocates for sharing their personal stories and adding a human face to the issues surrounding Alzheimer’s disease.
