"On the Road Again"
?by The Caresource Team
Dennis' wife Diane Kenny, Vice-President of Caresource, met up with Dennis at the end of the ALA Coast Ride. For seven weeks during the summer of 2003, Dennis Kenny, President of Caresource, accompanied his 21-year-old son across the U.S. from Seattle to Washington, DC on a bicycle as part of the American Lung Association of Washington's Big Ride Across America. And it was "back in the saddle again" this fall for Dennis as part of the ALAW Coast Ride—from Seattle to San Francisco. 1,000 miles in 15 days! "It was shorter but harder," observes Dennis, comparing the two rides. "At a maximum, 10 percent of the terrain was flat." But he reports that gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean and the California redwoods—along with just enough bakeries, brew pubs and old-fashioned small-town cafes—were enough to hold body and soul together. Dennis enjoyed reuniting with several 2003 Big Riders. And once again, over $100,000 was raised to help fight lung disease...helping others breathe a little easier. Congratulations, Dennis, from your support team at Caresource!
