Caresource announces Just in Case: Emergency Readiness for Older Adults and Caregivers, a 16-minute community education program, available on DVD or VHS, including a presenter's guide and print-ready audience handouts.

Just in Case will motivate your community to take action and prepare for whatever emergencies might occur in your region. Developed with the specific needs of older adults and caregivers in mind, the Just In Case kit addresses the needs of this population and reassures everyone that they too can be prepared!

Topcs include:

  • Risks in your community
  • Gathering essential emergency supplies
  • Preparing to stay at home or evacuate
  • Making a personal plan
  • Handling medications, medical equipment, mobility and support services
Just in Case is a supplement to Aging in Stride, a 380-page guide to healthy aging and effective eldercare. Included in the Aging in Stride emergency preparation resources are the video, presenter’s guide, and 12-page factsheet and check list published in cooperation with the Administration on Aging’s www.aoa.gov. The video and factsheet are also available online at www.aginginstride.org/emergencyprep/default.htm. Aging in Stride is available at www.aginginstride.org or by calling 800-448-5213.
