Do You Need to Upgrade Your Web Browser?

IE IconPlease join IlluminAge and the web community in retiring the website browser, Internet Explorer 6 (IE6). IE6 has done a fabulous job in its 10 years of service…but it is time to welcome in a new generation of web browsers! As technology changes, web browsers need to change too, to improve your internet experience. Changes include convenient tools, such as tabbed browsing, or enhancements to security to make your website browsing safer.

Learn more about the retirement of IE6 by visiting The Internet Explorer 6 Countdown. In support of this effort, IlluminAge will no longer be optimizing websites for IE6. Current usage in the US is below 3%. If you are an IlluminAge website client, your site has already been optimized for IE6. For new website clients, website redesigns, or other maintenance that may be affected by IE6 optimization, we will be implementing a message to display if the site detects IE6 is being used, which will direct the visitor on how to update their browser.

If you are unsure which browser you are using, you can visit "Help," and then choose the "About Internet Explorer" option in your browser. If you are using anything older than Internet Explorer 8, you can download the most recent version of Explorer. Other good browser options include Firefox and Google Chrome.
