Caresource Content Available for Your Newsletter

image

If you are a Caresource print or online newsletter client, are you taking full advantage of the large collection of articles available for your publication?

If Caresource isn't your current newsletter partner, did you know that our newsletter services include free use of the Caresource content library?

No Need to Start from Scratch

Researching and writing high-quality content for your newsletter is time consuming. Your marketing staff and department heads are busy people. And it's often true, even of gifted professionals, that writing is not their strong suit.

To help you put together a quality publication, Caresource offers our newsletter partners a comprehensive selection of articles for senior care, senior living communities and healthy aging professionals, on topics such as....

  • Elder Care
  • Safety Concerns of Older Adults
  • Specific Health Conditions
  • Family Caregiving
  • Healthy Aging and Wellness
  • Personal Improvement
  • Legal Issues
  • Nursing Home Care
  • End of Life Issues

Articles are constantly revised to keep them up-to-date, and we add new features on a regular basis. A list of current articles can be seen online at the Caresource Newsletter Services information page. Or, note the last two pages of your Caresource Newsletter Preparation sheets if you are a print newsletter client.

Caresource Content is Fully Customizable

We can publish your Caresource articles as backgrounders, with minimal editing from your end. Or, to cover a particular department, program or topic, it always helps to have a starting point. For example, say you are a long-term care facility wanting to highlight the therapeutic value of your music programs, demonstrating to family members and the community that music isn't just a pastime. Beginning with Caresource article "H5: That's (More Than) Entertainment: A Look at Our Music Programs," your Activity Director can add information particular to your organization.

Next, add a photo or two of residents enjoying a recent musical event (or Caresource will add a stock photo or graphic, free of charge), and you're done! You have a high-quality, interesting piece that will call attention to a program you are proud of.

  • Click here to see an example of a print newsletter published to Web, using local content as well as Caresource articles M4: "Emergency Preparedness for Older Adults" and M5: "Disaster Preparation for Disabled Persons."

  • Click here to see an online newsletter featuring a nutrition-focused theme, using articles T10: "Nutrition and Older Adults Quiz, A6: "Lower Your Cholesterol" and A24: "Dining Out Without Filling Out: Healthy Restaurant Eating."

How Does the Process Work?

Choosing from the library, you can request that articles be placed right into the newsletter...or, if you anticipate substantial revision, we will e-mail you a Word document that you can edit beforehand.

The article will then appear in your page proofs or draft online newsletter, and you can make any other edits you'd like.

Engage Your Readers

Quizzes, puzzles and trivia are attention-getting and invite the reader to spend more time with your publication. Ask about Caresource's collection of educational or just-for-fun wordfinds, quizzes and trivia. Here are a few online examples:

"Summer Safety Wordfind"

"Emergency Supply Kit Wordfind

"Test Your Flu IQ"

"Older Workers: Myth or Fact?"

Print newsletter clients receive a full-color two-sided master sheet with a wordfind and another puzzle, suitable for copying. Online newsletters can feature trivia and quiz articles, and printable PDFs of wordfinds.
