Customize and Distribute Emergency Preparation
Dennis Kenny, President
The losses from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita have made most Americans more aware of the need to plan for emergencies. This includes preparation for natural disasters—earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, tsunami, extreme heat or cold, wildfire or volcanic events—as well as human error or deliberate acts: power failure, chemical or nuclear accidents, and events of terrorism and war. Your organization can provide an important public service by helping your community's older adults and caregivers better understand emergency readiness and take the steps they should be taking to get prepared. Just in Case: Emergency Preparation for Older Adults and Caregivers is an informative, very high quality community education package that we can customize to include: - Your organization's logo on the packaging materials
- Your organization's message on the opening credits of the DVD
We can even help with distribution, including list development and actual delivery. Recipients of this package will be able to hold classes to help their communities prepare for the disasters in their region. Your custom outreach package can also include permission to use your co-branded video on hospital closed circuit TV and community access cable TV. The Health Care Association of New Jersey is using this program to distribute 500 community education kits branded to HCANJ to senior service and emergency response organizations in New Jersey. The complete line-up of HCANJ emergency preparedness education resources will also be available at the HCANJ web site, www.HCANJ.org. For more information and to request a sample of HCANJ's education kit, please contact service@caresource.com or phone 800-448-5213.
