Seattle Aging Services Wins Award

The Seattle-King County Area Agency on Aging website—www.agingkingcounty.orgwon the Silver Certificate from the National Health Information Awards program, in the category of Health Promotion/Disease and Injury Prevention Information. Their website helps seniors and caregivers locate resources; supports a 200-plus team of staff, including off-site case managers and subcontractors; and promotes the agency’s healthy aging programs and initiatives. “We are quite proud of our new window to the world,” says Rosemary Cunningham, Planning Manager for The Seattle-King County Area Agency on Aging.

Now in its 14th year, the National Health Information Awards program, organized by the Health Information Resource Center, was designed to recognize the best web-based health related content for consumers and professionals. This bi-yearly awards program aims to establish a “seal of quality” for consumer health information.
