Online Quiz Added to Infection Control Training Module

Users of our new infection control training package, Break the Chain – Your Role in Preventing the Spread of Infection, now have an additional review option. We’ve added a complimentary online post-test.

The program, released earlier this year on VHS and DVD, includes a companion Presenter’s Guide with nine copy-ready audience handouts. One of the handout masters is a post-test designed to highlight key points and to test for learner comprehension and retention. The new, online quiz gives Break the Chain trainers one more tool they can use to drive home their message on how infections spread and what health care workers can do to break the chain of infection.

“We saw a clear advantage to offering an online review and post-test feature,” says Dennis Kenny, IlluminAge president and BTC project manager. “We know it won’t be appropriate in all training situations. But it can be helpful where a learner is watching the video on his or her own, rather than as part of a group. And for a presenter with both a data projector and Web access, running through the online quiz as a group exercise can also work well.”

The quiz is available to anyone at no charge. In addition, we can adapt and expand the quiz for client-specific use, including offering learners with a passing score an attractive completion certificate.

A custom version of the Break the Chain online quiz is a modestly priced add-on to the video program itself. And it is offered as a FREE program upgrade in the case of corporate training programs ordering 10 or more copies.
