Join Us for Grandparents Day!

Grandparents Day is celebrated on the first Sunday after Labor Day. In 1978, Congress passed the law, and President Jimmy Carter signed the proclamation that states: "to honor grandparents, to give grandparents an opportunity to show love for their children’s children, and to help children become aware of strength, information, and guidance older people can offer." To celebrate here at Lorien Bel Air, we will be having an ice cream social and entertainment on Sunday, September 7th at 1:30 p.m. So families, please come and join us for this year’s Grandparents Day celebration!

National Assisted Living Week

To celebrate National Assisted Living Week, we will be devoting each day to filling life with love.

Sunday	Grandparents Day Social
Monday	Take a walk with a resident
Tuesday	Sing with a resident (karaoke at 2:00 p.m.)
Wednesday	Visit with a resident
Thursday	Have lunch with a resident
Friday	Join the residents for ice cream

• Activities are subject to change
• Banking Day is the second Tuesday of every month
• The Ice Cream Parlor is open on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• The Silver Reading Van will be here on Friday, August 8 and 29 at
  1:30 p.m.
• Perms are done on the first Monday of every month
