Dorothy Basil was born and raised in Baltimore with her brother, William. She went to St. Dominic’s school, and then to James school to study bookkeeping, business and shorthand. Soon after, she married John, who was a railroad engineer. They were married for 50+ years. She has two sons, Ronald and Wayne, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Dorothy loves traveling and bowling. Some of her interests include reading, crossword puzzles, and spending time with her family.
