Halloween!

The origins of Halloween date back to the ancient Celtic people who lived in much of Western Europe. Halloween was a part of their custom and religion. Irish Catholic immigrants who celebrated the harvest introduced Halloween to North America in the mid 1800’s. Now, Halloween is the sweetest holiday of the year. In fact, one quarter of all the candy sold each year is purchased in October. Chocolate candy bars top the list as the most popular candy given to trick-or-treaters. Lorien will be celebrating Halloween with some little friends from the community, which will include candy, costumes, entertainment and fun.
