Father’s Day History

Many scholars believe that the origin of Father’s Day is not a recent phenomenon. They claim that the tradition can be traced back to the ruins of Babylon. Scholars have records of a young boy named Elmesu who carved a Father’s Day message on a card made out of clay nearly 4,000 years ago, wishing his father good health and a long life. The tradition of honoring fathers has been celebrated throughout time around the world, so take this Father’s Day to continue the traditions of ancient times.
