Until 1971, February 12 and February 22 were observed as federal holidays to honor the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. In 1971, President Richard Nixon proclaimed one single federal holiday to honor all past presidents' birthdays. Presidents' Day is observed on the third Monday of February each year. Saint Francis de Sales Catholic Church will be at Lorien Bel Air on Wednesday, February 25 for an Ash Wednesday Service. Ashes will be placed on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance. |  |
