A complimentary series of choice-affirming seminars sponsored by the not-for-profit retirement communities and long-term care providers of Aging Services of Washington.

Caresharing: Rethinking Caregiving and Care Receiving

Instead of considering caregiving as a one-way relationship, caresharing embraces a mutual relationship of shared care celebrating each person's strengths. In an environment of caresharing, people understand how to learn and grow from serving each other. Caresharing:

• Emphasizes the importance of care partnering and sharing across generations
• Celebrates "wholeness" in the caregiving and receiving relationships
• Builds on spiritual beliefs to deal with forgiveness and losses and to build a sense of realistic hope.

Exercises will be used to help participants learn to get in touch with caresharing in their everyday relationships.

Northwest Kidney Center Open House

The Northwest Kidney Centers invites the public to attend an open house at its new state-of-the-art Seattle Kidney Center. Enjoy tours, refreshments and a kidney-healthy cooking demonstration from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. A brief program begins at 1:30 p.m.
