
Upcoming ADS Funding Opportunities
| Aging and Disability Services (ADS) will be accepting applications for two service areas: State Funded Home Care Services; and Family Caregiver Support Services |  | Home Care Services—Applications available January 10, 2011 ADS is offering organizations an opportunity to submit a Request for Qualification (RFQ) to provide Community Options Program Entry System (COPES) and Medicaid Personal Care (MPC) in-home services for the care of medically frail and/or disabled persons throughout King County. The COPES and MPC in-home care services are administered by the Department of Social & Health Services Aging and Disability Services Administration and Division of Developmental Disabilities and managed by the Seattle Human Services Department, Aging and Disability Services division. Contract awards will be made for the period of July 1, 2011 - June 30, 2012. All interested applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the RFQ Information Session: Wednesday, January 19, 2011 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 2100 Building, 2100 24th Avenue South Seattle, WA 98144 The deadline to submit Homecare RFQ applications is 5:00 pm on Monday, February 22, 2011. Family Caregiver Support Services—Applications available January 19, 2011 ADS will issue a Request for Investment (RFI) for the King County Family Caregiver Support Program. The RFI is an opportunity for new and existing non-profit providers to apply for funding to provide a variety of services to family and kinship caregivers in the county. Approximately $1,029,500 in funding will be available. Of this, $960,000 will be available to help reduce family caregiver stress and enable care receivers to remain at home and independent. An additional $69,500 will be for kinship caregiver programs, which help grandparents and other relatives caring for a child 18 or younger.
