
Innovative Fitness Program Has Seattle Roots

LFP, developed by a partnership of Senior Services of Seattle/King County, Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound and the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center, was recently named one of ten exemplary physical activity programs for older adults in the U.S. by the National Council on Aging. The LFP program is geared especially toward seniors, and is appropriate for people of almost any physical condition, including those with a wide range of physical disabilities. Unlike many exercise classes, Lifetime Fitness Program was carefully based on scientific research.
