First Sound Steps Walk-N-Roll Funwalk for Active Seniors is Coming Up September 13!

Trail WalkSeniors, sign up for the first Sound Steps Walk-N-Roll Funwalk! On Wednesday, September 13, Seattle Parks and Recreation and the University of Washington Health Promotion Research Center will hold this first-ever event, designed specifically for active older adults, at Seward Park, 5902 Lake Washington Blvd. S.

The event is open to adults aged 50 and better, and you can participate on foot, in a wheelchair, or using a walker. This is a great opportunity to build and celebrate good health, meet your fellow walkers, and get recognition for your commitment to fitness.

The course will follow the Seward Park outer loop, and you can sign up for a half mile, one mile, 1.5 mile, or 2.5 mile distance. Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt.

Fabulous prizes!

We'll have prizes for the biggest team, the oldest walker, the walker who has the most grandchildren, the walker(s) who have lived in Seattle the longest, and the couple who have been married the longest. There is no cost to register, but donations are welcome and appreciated!
