March 19-25 is Poison Prevention Week

Are you at risk for accidental poisoning? The Washington Poison Center reports that older adults might be at risk of medication accidents at home and other exposure to unsafe substances. The Center offers an informational brochure for older adults and other information on their website, or call for free and confidential expert poison information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 1-800-222-1222.

If you are worried about the possibility of avian flu and other pandemic influenza strains, check out the resources and information on www.pandemicflu.gov, the official U.S. government Web site for information on pandemic and avian influenza.
