A Safe Environment:
Senior Services' Minor Home Repair Program

Access to Healthcare Resources:
What to Do If Your Medication Isn't Covered by the Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit

Getting Support When You Need It

* Widowed young, Rose raised six children and built a secure home for them. Her first job in Seattle was as a nurse's aide. At her supervisor's urging, Rose went to college, studied to become a surgical technician and worked for twenty years at that profession. At that time, paying for commercial electricians was not a problem, but now it is no longer feasible on her fixed income. She recalls one winter afternoon when she lost her heat. She called the Minor Home Repair program. They promptly sent a Repair Specialist who fixed the problem for a small labor charge and the cost of the materials. Rose says the kindness of the workers makes her feel warm all over. See Minor Home Repair Program Provides Low-Cost Fixes for Area Homeowners for more about this program that is receiving rave reviews.
