See “September Upcoming Events” to learn more ! | As we enter September, coverage of the two-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina once again brings to mind the importance of being prepared for natural disasters and other emergencies. In this issue of Seniors Digest, check out some of the emergency preparedness events around the county that are planned for September—and read on to review the steps you should take to protect you and your loved ones. Protecting against falls is another important safety topic for seniors. Governor Gregoire proclaimed September 20 as Fall Prevention Awareness Day, and various falls awareness events are being planned around the region. And don’t forget Senior Day at the Columbia Tower—come on up and enjoy the view!
