We hope that the beginning of 2009 finds you successfully weathering the recent storms, both literal and economic. These are challenging times for seniors and caregivers across the nation, so it is more important than ever that we work together to meet the needs of our most vulnerable populations. The number one New Year's resolution of the Seattle-King County Advisory Council on Aging & Disability Services is to continue to support this goal. January also marks the final month that I will be hosting Seniors Digest as the Chair of the Advisory Council. It has been such an honor to work with the energetic and committed people who make up the Council! And it is now my pleasure to introduce the new 2009 Council Chairman, Cathy VonWald. Cathy brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the position, and we are all looking forward to her leadership in our continued advocacy for our seniors and people with disabilities.
