A grassroots community is now forming in Northeast Seattle that will be dedicated to insuring that as we grow older, we can continue to live in our own home, in the neighborhood we love. It's called the Village Concept and is an innovative, new approach to aging in place that is inspiring persons 50 plus to organize, incorporate, and take charge. These "virtual villages" build community and help reduce social isolation and are modeled after Beacon Hill Village in Boston.
