Senior Day Out

The 2009 Louisville Metro TRIAD Senior Day Out, held on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Kentucky International Convention Center, was a rousing success.  With our theme of "Focus on Safety," speakers touched on ways for seniors to feel safe and secure in their homes.

Our speakers included Chief Gregory Frederick, Louisville Fire Department; Bruce Gadansky, Better Business Bureau; Ben Johnson, 2010 U.S. Census Team Leader; Dr. Adewale Troutman, Louisville Metro Department of Public Health & Wellness; Lori Farris, Office of the Kentucky Attorney General; and Chief Robert White, Louisville Metro Police Department.

Having fun at Senior Day Out!

The day's activities included health screenings and flu shots, information booths, door prizes, bingo, lunch, and musical entertainment once again provided by Street Heat. And Elvis was in the house!
