Mauri Malka, LSCW
It is becoming a common occurrence for spouses, adult children and other family members to assume the role of caregiver for an aging relative. Jewish Family & Vocational Service (JFVS) understands the stresses that this causes an individual and their family. Help is only a phone call away.... Individual Training Geriatric specialists are available to help caregivers learn about community resources, general aging issues, self-care, long-term care planning, managing multi-generational needs, stress management, mobilizing support and delegating responsibilities. Sessions can be held in our office, your home or over the phone for the caregiver's convenience. Individual Counseling Professional staff work with individuals to manage a wide array of feelings, stress and anxiety associated with caregiving and assist caregivers in managing family relationships.
