Wanted: Food Loving Volunteers!

The Jefferson County Extension Service has started a new program called the Master Food Volunteer Program. Currently, the Program is looking for volunteers who will attend training sessions on nutrition, and afterwards will be asked to pay back by volunteering in the community.

The sessions will be held early 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and will cover such topics as basic nutrition, international foods, meal planning, cooking techniques, the art of food decorating, desserts and sweets and other topics. The speakers will be varied and there will be food demonstrations on some of the topics. If you would like to volunteer or are interested in the program, please contact the Coordinator of the Master Food Volunteer Program at the Extension Service at 502/569-2344, ext.132.
