Awards Received at the Department for Aging and Independent Living Fall Conference

KIPDA regional volunteers and providers were also the recipients of three awards from the Department for Aging and Independent Living Fall Conference Awards in September, 2007.

Volunteer of The Year Award:  This award was presented to Mr. Carl Allen from Tri-County Community Action Agency for his many years of dedicated service and volunteerism for senior services.

Business Partnership of the Year Award: Multipurpose Community Action Agency received this award for their partnership with Commonwealth Bank, who has adopted the senior center to conduct fund raising events, assist with meal delivery, and anything the senior life center needs to support services for seniors.

Senior Center of the Year Award:  ElderServe, Inc. won this award for their Oak and Acorn Senior Center with the activities and many partnerships that have been established for seniors in the community. In addition to this award, ElderServe, Inc. received a financial award of $300 to be used for their center.
