The Luckiest Little Town
While everyone knows that Lady Luck travels around, she apparently spent a lot of time last year in Washington, New Hampshire. The eastern Sullivan County town of about 850 people was the luckiest town when it comes to most lottery sales in 2004. Out of every dollar spent on a lottery ticket in Washington, at least 56 cents was paid out in winnings. No Lottery, No Winners Lottery supporters in Raleigh, North Carolina are hoping to reach a compromise and get a bill enacted into law this session, possibly as early as next month. It would be another 6 months before players could get their hands on some tickets. 800-868-6230 JasonR@ppicash.com
