Hockey is Back!
Prosperity Partners
The standing agreement between the players and owners expired at the end of the 2003-04 season. This opened the door for owners to negotiate player pay cuts in order to allow smaller teams to be more competitive. The players rebelled, resulting in a lockout. The lockout left fans disappointed, disgusted, and frankly, concerned about the future of hockey. But, fans are fans of any sport for the love of the game, regardless of how much money the players make. The love affair in sports develops through competition, victory and pride. That romance has fizzled since the thrill and excitement of hockey came to a screeching halt over contract negotiations and salary caps. After a full season on strike, professional hockey players have returned to the ice. Now, hockey as a whole has some rebuilding to do, first with its fans, then within the sport itself. Both owners and players are facing the impact the strike has had on the fans over the past year. Hockey enthusiasts still love the game but need assurance that it will be around for many years to come. The players and teams now have the promise of new possibilities for their sport. And fans have their hockey back. Like hockey, we all have a chance to rebuild and create opportunity and success from any mistake. Bad choices, battered relationships, poor investments...repairing the damage done requires rebuilding and restoring faith in a dream. So dream big and restore the lockouts in your life! Your fans are still out there waiting. Prosperity Partners, Inc. 800-868-6230 JasonR@ppicash.com
