A Winning Attitude Sharon Parker thought her tickets were losers when she tore them up and dropped them into a corner trashcan. When she discovered the tickets were actually winners, she made a very early and messy mission to find them. She returned to the trashcan to find out it had already been emptied. She made her distress call to the public works department for help and they sent Matt. After numerous bags and tedious searching, Sharon was ready to call it quits. But Matt wouldn't let her. On top of the final bag of garbage was her ticket! Sharon realized that without Matt's help and spirit, she would've given up. It was no longer about a winning lottery ticket, but being determined to accomplish a goal and follow it through. It just so happened to pay off in cash! Anyone can win once. Try winning 3 times! Melvyn Wilson won a million dollars September 9 playing the Virginia Lottery's "Million Dollar Madness" scratch-off ticket. While amazing in itself, it's not the first time Wilson, who has played six days a week for the past 17 years, has been the big winner. Last November, Wilson won $500,000 playing a "Casino Royale" scratcher and then five months later hit again for a measly $25,000.
