NASCAR Contest Winners Enjoy "Race to Homestead"

NASCAR fans across the world watched the championship race of the 2005 season from their living rooms and local sports bars. But, there's nothing quite like feeling the roar of the engines first hand. This year, Prosperity Partners invited six "NASCAR Race to Homestead" contest winners and their guests to Ford Championship Weekend in Homestead Miami. 

At first, the winners were a little leery about participating in a promotional event. They had been offered trips and gifts before, only to find out there were hidden agendas and strings attached. Most were expecting some sort of pitch even though we assured them otherwise. We really wanted to spend the day getting to know them, and give them an opportunity to know us.

Soon after touching down in South Florida, the excitement of the day's planned events started to sink in. After meeting at the airport, we sat down for a quick lunch, then headed right to the racetrack.

We spent the early part of the afternoon exploring the different track activities. We visited the Pepsi Party Tent for a great lunch and raffle prize giveaways and some of our group went on a Pit Tour onto the racetrack and behind the pit wall. Then we all made our way to the grandstand seats for the pre-race ceremonies, driver introductions and an emotional farewell to a legend, Rusty Wallace. 

The race went into the night for the first time at this track, making the lights and fireworks a spectacular scene. We had a fantastic view of the pits and the entire racetrack from our seats. The leaders battled over the last laps and the winner took the checkered flag by inches at the start finish line, concluding the excitement of the day. 

I couldn't have asked for a better weekend with better people. Thank you to our guests for taking the time to get to know us. You not only made it all possible you made it an experience we will never forget.
