Love It? Hate It? Just Okay?

Things You Love...

You love winning the lottery. That's a gimme, right? From an outside point of view, a lottery windfall looks like a life of vacations and luxury cars. In reality, there are responsibilities that come along with winning. Consider loving the new opportunities a jackpot win creates for your life.

You love vacations. Vacations are anticipated and planned for with almost childlike enthusiasm. A weekend adventure or a two-week getaway, avoiding the phone and mailbox is reason enough to be excited. Vacations represent joy, escape, refuge and relaxation. Promise yourself to take at least one vacation per year.

You love living life with reckless abandon. If the concept of living without boundaries sounds completely unreasonable, maybe being unreasonable will expand your life's boundaries! Take on a project or adventure you would normally find reasons to not do.  It's a fun exercise in living life outside the box and experiencing life in ways you never imagined.

Things you hate...

You hate sales calls. There's nothing worse than a persistent ringing during dinner or a loud and chipper salesman waking you up in the morning. Really, any time is a bad time. Try asking the salesman for his home phone number so that you can call him back tomorrow at an equally inconvenient time. Be creative with this. It may stop the ringing. If not, at least you got a good laugh. Try to avoid being rude it won't do you any good and the caller is just doing their job.

You hate feeling like everyone wants something from you. Oh, the curse of the lottery winner...family comes out of the woodwork and a high school pal wants you to fund his lifetime dream project. Good news you don't have to give anyone anything. Be selective.

Things you're okay with...

You're okay with budgeting and money management. It's not usually thought of as "fun," but budgeting and money management is one of those "should dos" in life. When the financial aspects of your life are organized, it contributes greatly to your peace of mind.

You're okay with holidays. Holidays can consume an awful lot of time and money, but they bring joy and celebration into our lives. Sometimes we even get an extra day off work!
