- Since 1986, the Missouri Lottery has created 206 millionaires.
- A recent survey found that more than one-fifth of all Americans view the lottery as the most viable route to wealth. But the experts say, "It's not hard to accumulate a million dollars." (Click here to read more!)
- A man who proclaimed he won the "lottery of death" after his life spiraled downward when he won $16.2 million in the Pennsylvania lottery has died. William "Bud" Post III died January 15th of respiratory failure at UPMC Northwest in Seneca. He was 66.
- The Tennessee Lottery raised more than $492 million for higher education and $9 million for after-school programs as well as awarding prizes over $1 billion in its first two years of operation. The top prize paid to a single winner was $25.5 million in the Powerball jackpot, while 311 people have won prizes of at least $50,000.
