Millions of dollars in lottery winnings go unclaimed every year, so make sure you review your tickets!  In Virginia alone during FY 2005, more than $9.3 million went unclaimed, and since 1988, the total rises to $141.6 million! Virginia placed the money to good use, however, by donating it to the Virginia Literary Fund to use for educational purposes.

A Krauszer's store in New Brunswick, New Jersey just might have the nation's luckiest customers. For three months in a row, lottery tickets purchased there have granted a very nice payday. In April, a Cash 5 ticket was worth $225,778, and May had a Pick 6 ticket that netted $5,419.  June tops them all, with the sole Mega Millions ticket worth $47 million!
