Whole Foods Market Opens in South Lake Union

Whole Foods Market has been buzzing since it opened November 8 at the corner of Westlake and Denny Way. As a part of 2200 Westlake, a new 500,000 square-foot condominium, hotel and retail center located in the South Lake Union neighborhood, Whole Foods Market comes to the area with the goal of serving a growing community that seeks the highest quality, best tasting and freshest natural and organic foods.

The 44,186 square-foot store offers chef-prepared foods, fresh produce, baked goods, natural meats and seafood. The Westlake location includes an expansive prepared foods department, offering pizza, sandwiches and a variety of ethnic cuisine. The new store also features three dine-in eateries: the Market Café and Asian Express in the prepared foods department and the Seasmoke Café in the seafood department. Each dine-in eatery operates as a restaurant, offering a menu specifically designed for its department. For example, the Asian Express features an extensive menu of Asian cuisine, including sushi, tempura, noodle bowls and skewered meats straight from the Yakatori grill.

Whole Foods Market is located at 2210 Westlake Avenue at Denny Way and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. More than 275 parking spaces are available for shoppers and diners. For more information, visit www.wholefoodsmarket.com.
