Helping Create a Commuter Friendly SLU

Did you know that South Lake Union is projected to gain 20,000 new employees by the year 2020.  With this projected growth in mind, The Urban Mobility Group (UMG) has launched a program to support this growth by working towards a vision of the neighborhood that inspires half of all South Lake Union commuters to take transit, carpool, vanpool, bike, or walk to work.

"Working together we can avoid increased congestion, freight delays, and negative impacts to South Lake Union clients and customers," says Jodie Vice, South Lake Union Mobility Manager at UMG.

Urban Mobility Group is meeting with companies, property owners and employees to determine what specific transportation and neighborhood improvements will help increase commute choices. UMG can also help companies get the most out of the existing commute options available today.  UMG already has met with several companies and is continuing to gather valuable information to help South Lake Union commuters!

Interested in transportation and access or providing your employees with transportation information?  Please contact Jodie Vice for more information, 206.613.3122 or
