2007 Recap from SLUFAN Community Council
2007 has proven to be a very busy and exciting year for the SLUFAN Community Council. We are proud of the year’s progress and accomplishments and are looking forward to the goals of 2008. A short recap of 2007: - Neighborhood Plan Update and Prioritization
- Envisioning the Charrette – taking steps to ensure that the changes made to South Lake Union and surrounding areas are executed in a manner that provides a quality urban environment for those who live, work and play in the neighborhood.
- The construction and opening of the South Lake Union Streetcar
- Breaking ground at South Lake Union Park and nearly completing Phase One of construction.
- Progress on the Lake Union Park’s History Trail grant, seawall funding, United Indians of All Tribes' NW Canoe Center and the Museum of History and Industry.
The SLUFAN Community Council encourages friends and neighbors to get involved by attending future urban form charrette meetings and public forums to express your input on the Council’s goals for 2008. Stay tuned for meeting details. For more information, contact Steven Paget at: Spaget@olympiassociates.com.
