
NBC "Trading Places" Series Taps Into Concerns of Family Caregivers
Last month, NBC nightly news featured a week-long series focused on family caregiving. The series, “Trading Places: Caring for Your Parents,” highlighted the family caregiving experiences of NBC news personalities Tom Brokaw, Ann Curry, Dr. Nancy Snyderman, Tim Russert and Brian Williams—as well as those of many lesser-known Americans. Anchor Brian Williams reports that the network received an almost record number of calls about the series. And according to Senior Producer Tracey Lyons, when viewers were invited to share their own experiences, more than 5,400 responded with letters or photographs describing their personal caregiving stories.
