VHCA (5/8/2009)
Introduction to Activity Management, scheduled June 22 – 26, is a five-day, 45-hour course sponsored exclusively by the Virginia Health Care Association. The course will provide comprehensive training in Documentation and Programming and is designed to specifically prepare activity personnel to work in settings primarily serving persons 55 years and older. These settings may include nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, sub-acute, specialized care, or adult day services. For over 25 years the Virginia Health Care Association has offered the Activity Directors Course which meets Virginia and federal requirements for activity professionals in nursing and assisted living facilities. This dynamic, comprehensive program features at least 15 different presenters who collectively bring over 300 years of experience in their professional roles. Program brochures will be mailed next week. More information and on-line registration is now available. For more information contact Doran Hutchinson or by phone at 804.212.1692.
