DSS Updates Technical Assistance Document for ALFs

Assisted Living providers were notified this week that the Department of Social Services (DSS) has updated their “Technical Assistance for Standards for Licensed Assisted Living Facilities” as of December 2009.  The Technical Assistance Document is available on the Virginia Department of Social Services website. The provider notification additionally highlighted that the ALF model form, “Record of Initial ALF Staff Training” has been updated as of 12/09.  

VCAL members are encouraged to update their “Survey Readiness Manual” with these revised documents.
