Have You Registered Your Nursing Home for the Advancing Excellence Campaign Yet?
VHCA (1/8/2010)
More than 3,000 nursing homes have already signed on for Phase 2 of the Advancing Excellence Campaign after just two months of recruitment. More than 2,500 of these nursing homes were rejoining the Campaign, a move that qualifies them for Charter Member status, with recognition as such on the Advancing Excellence website. To become a Charter Member you need to have participated in Phase 1 of the Campaign (prior to October 22, 2009) and re-enroll for Phase 2 of the Campaign before January 31, 2010. More than 500 first-time participants have also signed up for the Campaign and can also access the wealth of free resources, including web-based education sessions, tip sheets, newsletters and updates on the most current research on how to improve patient care, staff satisfaction and public trust. First-time participants are also recognized on the website. Joining the campaign as either a Charter or first-time member demonstrates a nursing home’s commitment to ongoing quality improvement and can be considered a true badge of honor for the residents, staff and community the nursing home serves. To register or re-enroll for the Campaign, go to www.nhqualitycampaign.org. If your nursing home was registered for Phase 1, get your password and log in to the website. You only need to do two things: choose three goals and set targets. If you need help with your password or with the re-enrollment process, please call or email Carla Thomas at VHQC (804.289.5318 or cthomas2@vaqio.sdps.org) or choose the Local Support link under the "About the Campaign" button. If you are registering for the first time, simply follow the directions on the website. To verify your enrollment, go to the "Find Participants" link on the campaign home page. If your facility has a mark in the Phase 2 and Charter Member columns, your enrollment is complete.
