Legislative Conference Participation Critical

Member participation is always the primary ingredient in the success of VHCA’s Winter Legislative Conference.  This year, more than any year most of us can remember, we need members to turn up their energy levels and come to Richmond prepared to meet with and educate legislators about the risks and realities of balancing the state budget with deep Medicaid rate cuts for nursing facilities.  No one is as effective as staff working in day-to-day operations at communicating to legislators the realities of providing care to frail Medicaid residents and the critical need for adequate reimbursement.
