OLC/VDH adopts the 2010 Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities.

The Office of Licensure and Certification has requested that we remind providers that effective August 4, 2010, the design and construction of nursing facilities must be consistent with the 2010 edition of the "Guideline for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities".  Any construction currently in progress may continue to follow the 2006 Guidelines; the 2010 Guidelines applies to projects that begin design and development on or after August 4.  If there are any questions, please contact Carrie Eddy.
