NATIONAL NURSING HOME WEEK

The theme for the 2004 National Nursing Home Week observance is Embracing Our Heritage.  The celebration will begin Mother's Day, May 9 and continue through May 15.

According to Dr. Charles H. Roadman II, M.D, CNA, AHCA President and CEO, "National Nursing Home Week is an opportunity to bring forward into the limelight the celebration of (our) focus on quality with residents, staff, families, volunteers and members of our communities."

A planning guide and promotional products for National Nursing Home Week, including thought-provoking activities to celebrate the lives of residents and to recognize the quality of care provided in nursing facilities is in production.  Watch the mail for your planning guide in early February.
