
Governor Kaine to Address VHCA legislative Conference
Governor Tim Kaine has accepted VHCA’s invitation to speak during the VHCA Legislative Conference, February 13-14, 2007 at the Omni Hotel in Richmond. Governor Kaine has announced that his administration will focus on health care issues during 2007. He has established a Health Reform Commission that is discussing a wide range of topics and options for the Governor to consider. Governor Kaine will discuss a series of healthcare initiatives that he will consider for the 2008 General Assembly session and update VHCA members on the current debate over the state budget, the draft proposal for the integration of Medicaid acute and long term care services and several other topics.
