Valentines to Legislators
Thanks to the many members who delivered Valentines to Legislators during the 2007 Winter Legislative Conference. This year’s conference was a big success with 61 facilities participating in the project. Collectively, through their Activity Departments, our members made over 2,500 Valentines that were distributed to all 140 legislators. Members were asked to include a picture of a Medicaid sponsored resident and a brief life history as an effective and simple way to put a human face on Medicaid. The Valentines were well received by Legislators who were able to see the people who depend on adequate Medicaid funding for the delivery of high quality long term care services. Each facility had their name entered into a drawing. The winners were: 1st place – Roman Eagle Memorial Home
2nd place – Lake Taylor Transitional Care Hospital
