2007 Convention & Trade Show

Many times over the years, members have said that one of the greatest benefits and pleasures of VHCA membership is attending, participating in and experiencing the annual Convention and Trade Show.  This event, with thought provoking educational sessions led by nationally and regionally recognized experts as well as successful peers will give participants a fresh outlook on their career. There is something special about celebrating our successes and triumphs with like-minded people, achieving recognition for the good work, and of feeling the tremendous satisfaction of true accomplishment.

Maximize your membership investment and experience by joining your colleagues at the 2007 VHCA/VCAL Convention and Trade Show, Hollywood - Celebrating Our Stars, at The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia.  The big event starts on Sunday, September 16 beginning with the Regirer Nurse Scholarship Golf Tournament at noon and the Welcoming Reception Sunday evening.  On Monday afternoon Virginia’s largest long term care Trade Show will be held.  On Monday evening, VHCA has a special dinner and event planned.  On Tuesday evening, attendees won’t want to miss a very special evening as we roll out the red carpet for the Annual Awards Banquet – A Night at the Oscars.   Make your hotel reservations today.

In addition to these great recognition and networking events, a jam-packed schedule of education sessions runs from Monday morning through noon on Wednesday.  An encore presentation, Center Stage with Glick and Phillips, will kick off this year’s program and features keynote speakers Doctors John Glick and Steve Phillips who will present a two-hour musical extravaganza offering strategies for finding the link between music, humor and health. The remainder of the conference features sessions covering everything from dealing with security crises, to marketing and facility makeovers, and managing difficult admission and discharge situations.

Make your plans now to come to Hot Springs and spend a few days at Virginia’s premier mountain resort, relax and recharge your batteries while getting up to speed on issues and events impacting long term care. We’ll see you there!
