National Healthcare Decisions Day to Be Established

Following on the success the past two years of Virginia’s April 16th Healthcare Decisions Day, the Virginia team which spearheaded Virginia’s program is making it a national movement.  VHCA members have cooperated with many other health providers and lawyers the last two years to assist people in understanding the importance of having an advance directive and providing materials that assist people to make an advance directive.

Many national organizations, including VHCA’s national affiliate the American Health Care Association, have joined in the effort to make April 16, 2008 National Healthcare Decisions Day.
